The Programs Red Ribbon Celebration The goal of the Red Ribbon Celebration is to present a unified and visible commitment toward the creation of a drug-free environment. CHAMPS Champs Have And Model Positive peer Skills This training program teaches upper elementary students how to make positive lifestyle choices. CHAMPS students are trained to become the peer leaders for younger students in their schools. REAL Training Responsible Educated Adolescent Leaders Drug information made interesting--now there's a twist! Ray Lozano presents up-to-date facts on alcohol, tobacco, and other drugs in such a fun way that students enjoy learning. R.E.A.L. is great for student members of drug-free youth groups, peer leadersship groups, student governments, and youth boards. Teen Time This training program, led by Suze Rutherford, teaches 9th grade stduents the dangers of tobacco, alcohol, and other drug use, as well as commication and behavorial skills and leadership techniques. Best Friends, Worst Enemies In this GIRLS-ONLY training, participant will explore cultural differences in hidden aggression in girls and examin prevention apporaches to assist girls in expressing their natural feeling of anger, competition, and jealousey appropriately. The training environment will emphasize the importance of cooperation, support, relationships and communication in promoting healthy specific issues and strategies to positively address them. Real Men In the BOYS-ONLY training, participants will be introduced to new perspectives on what it means to be male and how to build the relational skills they need to become good men through positive male sup-port and by not shaming boys for who they are. The train-ing environment will emphasize the importance of coopera-tion, support, relationships and communication in promot-ing healthy relationships. Through true stories and physical activity, the boys will see how others have been shaped and how they can prepare to become Real Men. Puppets In this training program, older students teach younger students about the dangers of tobacco, alcohol, and other drug use through animated skits. PRIDE PRIDE is a drug prevention program that trains 8th through 12th grade students to take the lead in drug prevention. Through motivational performances, PRIDE encourages students to reach out to their peers, younger students, and the community with an assertive drug free message. Join hundreds of high school students at the Annual Arkansas PRIDE Conference. Drug education has never been this much fun! Get caught up in the excitement of being DRUG FREE! The Arkansas State PRIDE Conference is affiliated with PRIDE Youth Programs, the nation’s largest drug prevention organization. A wide variety of fun and educational workshops will be of-fered at the conference. Other exciting events taking place include performances by the Arkansas State PRIDE team, keynote speakers, showcases by local PRIDE teams in Arkan-sas , and a drug-free dance. |
