Our History Arkansans for Drug Free Youth-Union County (ADFY-UC) began in 1988 when a group of parents, teachers, students and interested community members joined forces to take action against the mounting problem of drug abuse. In May of 1990, that community received 501-C3 non-profit status and was listed with the Attorney General’s Office as a not-for-profit organization in Arkansas. In January of 1998, Arkansans For Drug Free Youth-Union County became a division of the SHARE Foundation. Arkansans For Drug Free Youth-Union County has given South Arkansas much reason to celebrate! This organization is dedicated to ending tobacco, alcohol, and other drug use among youth in the area, and it’s members include business people, law enforcement, clergy and others who are concerned about the youth of Union County. ADFY-UC is a division of the SHARE Foundation; is an affiliate of Arkansans For Drug Free Youth’s state organization; and is a member of CADCA (Community Anti-Drug Coalitions of America). Effective January 1, 2007, ADFY-UC changed its name to PRIDE Youth Programs. |
